About the Powerhouse
Powerhouse Romandie is a non-profit association. The concept of Powerhouse was born in 2019, under the impulse of Magaly Mathys and Coline Sauzet, members of Powercoders, an association that trains and helps refugees and immigrants to find a job in IT.
As a place for training, meeting and coworking, the Powerhouse was inaugurated in February 2020. This intercultural and intergenerational solidarity space is open to all; women, refugees, migrants, professionals, enthusiasts, social entrepreneurs, and anyone wishing to acquire a digital culture or to train in the field of IT.
Promoting social cohesion, this space hosts training courses, workshops, conferences, and other events around technology and IT, bringing together private and public actors, companies and social institutions, Swiss and immigrant populations. Workplaces are also available for people to work in the open space. The Powerhouse is open from Monday to Friday, from 9h00 to 17h00.
